Meet Aaliyah,

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being open, honest, and heard without fear of judgment.

Hi, I’m Aaliyah. I’m a therapist who believes that sometimes we all need a safe place where we can put down what we’ve been carrying and simply be ourselves. Life can become overwhelming, and it can be difficult to manage anxiety, past experiences, relationships, family concerns, or emotions that we may not fully understand.

I became a therapist because I genuinely enjoy helping people recognize their strengths, understand their emotions, and work through the experiences that may be keeping them from moving forward. I understand that opening up to someone new can feel uncomfortable, so I don't expect you to walk into therapy and immediately share everything. Building trust takes time, and I believe the therapeutic relationship should develop at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

"Sometimes we all need a safe place where we can

put down what we’ve been carrying and simply be ourselves."

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler and enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have a special interest in helping individuals who are experiencing anxiety, trauma, difficulty regulating emotions, communication challenges, relationship concerns, and major life changes.

My counseling style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Depending on your individual needs, I incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and EMDR-informed interventions. I don't believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. We will work together to determine what feels helpful and meaningful for you.

Most importantly, I want my clients to know that therapy isn't about someone telling you how to live your life. It's a space where you can better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, learn healthier ways of coping, and discover what you need to move forward.

Whether you're dealing with something that happened recently, carrying experiences from your past, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling like something needs to change, I would be honored to support you along the way. My hope is that when you enter my therapy space, you feel welcomed, respected, supported, and free to show up exactly as you are.
