My passion is assisting young adults, adolescents, and children in acquiring the knowledge and abilities necessary to improve their communication and emotional management. I believe that every individual possesses the capacity to heal and grow, and my goal is to facilitate this journey.

I strive to create a secure and encouraging environment where my clients and their families can collaborate effectively during treatment. My approach is humanistic, emphasizing deep connections, understanding, and trust. Through therapy, I aim to empower my clients, helping them develop a sense of independence and self-efficacy.

I utilize a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness exercises. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of play and incorporate creative methods such as art, music, and games to engage my clients in meaningful ways. These approaches not only make therapy more accessible but also foster resilience and emotional expression.

My commitment is to support my clients in navigating their challenges, enhancing their well-being, and achieving their personal goals. Nyia Hamilton is supervised by April Macakanja, LPC-S,
