My passion is assisting young adults, adolescents, and children in acquiring the knowledge and abilities necessary to improve their communication and emotional management.
I believe that every individual possesses the ability to heal and grow. I try to provide a secure and encouraging environment so that my clients and their families can collaborate during treatment. My approach is humanistic, which emphasizes deep connections, understanding, and trust. In the course of therapy, I want to empower my clients and assist them in developing a sense of independence.
I apply a range of therapeutic approaches, such as person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness exercises. I am a firm believer in the power of play and use creative techniques such as art, music, and games to engage my clients. Nyia Hamilton is under the supervision of April Macakanja, LPC-S.
